Overall:  Great place.  We ordered sushi from the Japanese restaurant a few doors down.  They do have their own “snack” or you can also choose off the menu of the Thai restaurant in the same plaza.   Since it was Wednesday, it is Open Mike Night.  We got there about 7:30 pm before the place started to get busy.  About 8pm or so the “acts” started to come in and sign up on the performers list.  At 9pm they charge $3 per person to be donated to charity and the Open Mike Show started.

We had the following “sampler” before the meal and then enjoyed a full glass of Gulden Draak.  I have been here many times and will return again in the future.  As a side note they are trying to expand the business in the other side of the plaza to include tuning the Funky Buddha into a Brewpub.

  1. Thank you so much for the great review. I love this site! We do in fact have our website up and running now.
    It is http://www.thefunkybuddha.com
There you can find a schedule of events and follow the exciting progress as we open the new brewery and lounge. Again, thank you for the kind words and please join us again soon.
    Cheers!

P.S. I dont know if it is taboo for an owner of a business to comment on a review about his own place but as someone who cares about guest perceptions and the quality of their visit, I find myself Googling “The Funky Buddha Lounge and Brewery” often and reading as many reviews as I can find. Ryan, the other owner, does as well and it really helps us keep a realistic view of the experiences that our valued guests are having. So keep the reviews coming! Hope to see you all in here one day soon!
    Thanks again,
    Jim
